Old Galvanized Snapped Off in the Wall - Denver
- Problem: Old galvanized piping
- Found: Snapped off valve at wall
- Fixed: Coordinated to shut down the water in the building. Was able to remove the old glavanized tee fitting.
- Outcome: Repipe with 5/8 X 3/8 stop and 5/8 X 1/4 stop. Assembled and tested.
Two Plumbing Repairs - Denver
- Problem: Face mounted faucet was not working properly and was very loose.
- Found: Faucet was never installed properly. Only caulking was holding it in.
- Fixed: Put faucet back together and installed the escutcheons, tighted the unions and tested the faucet. No leaks and the faucet was very tight tot he wall. Owner confirm it was tight. The kitchen sink faucet haf a rust trail under the escutcheon. Found a gap behind the plate where the water from washing hands and dishes would get inside and caused the escutcheon to rust and run down.
- Outcome: Tightened down the nuts. Tested all parts and caulked.
Replace Water Heater and Tub/Shower Valve - Denver
- Problem: Replace water heater and other plumbing items.
- Found: old valve and water heater.
- Fixed: Inspection passed on water heater. Replaced tub/shower valve. Repipe around water heater per code requirements. Installed pan under heater. Installed thermal expansion tank and set pressure to 70 PSI.
- Outcome: Tested and working properly
Plumbing repairs on Main Floor bath - Denver
- Problem: Replace fill valve and flapper on toilet, also the angle stop.
- Found: Lavatory faucet and water closet broken.
- Fixed: Removed and replace the lavatory faucet with a Water Works valve. Replace the stop on the Water Closet in the same bathroom. Rebuild the water closet.
- Outcome: Both are working properly now.
Water Line Repair to Evap Cooler - Denver
- Problem: Broken and leaking water line to evaporative cooler.
- Found: Broken and leaking where the plastic met the copper line
- Fixed: We cut it off and reattached copper back to the unit. We cut out all the plastic tubing.
- Outcome: Tested and working perfectly.
Drain Line Rotted Out - Denver
- Problem: Kitchen drain line has hole in copper waste pipe
- Found: Hole in copper waste pipe
- Fixed: We did not have to cut out as much of the piping as we suspected. Cut out section of copper DWV and replaced with PVC and repiped up to the sink with new.
- Outcome: Tested. Working properly.
Shower drain - Denver
- Problem: Replace shower drain.
- Found: Broken shower drain.
- Fixed: Cut back on the 2" cast iron line. Install strong-back band and run 2" PVC to center of the shower. Install 2" Sioux Chief PVC adjustable shower drain. Install existing dirt around the trap to cradle the line.
- Outcome: Tested and working properly.
Hose Bib - Denver
- Problem: Replace hose bib
- Found: Broken hose bib.
- Fixed: Remove and replace frozen broken hose bib , and added ball valve.
- Outcome: Tested and no leak.
Mystery leak in the wall - Denver
- Problem: Broken kitchen waste line in foundation wall.
- Found: Broken kitchen waste line.
- Fixed: Ran new 2" waste line from kitchen sink to main line that was dug up under outside window. Drilled 3" hole 14" through concrete foundation. Added new clean out downstairs bathroom. Sealed penetration with hydronic cement. Vacuumed dust and debris. Strapped pipe to wall. Backfilled under 4"X2" wye fitting with gravel for bedding. Backfilled ditched with dirt and tamped hole ever foot, up to grade.
- Outcome: Tested and no leak.
Finish with Kitchen Remodel Plumbing - Denver
- Problem: Plumbing remodel in the kitchen
- Found: Removed existing stops and ferrules
- Fixed: Soldered copper extensions to wayer lines under kitchen sink. Installed new escutcheon and stops. Connected waste line, water, power to dishwasher. Leveled dishwasher and mounted to cabinets. I couldn't get the dishwasher completely level front to back because the counter was too low.
- Outcome: Tested for leaks and function.
Repair Frozen and Burst Copper Line in the Garage - Denver
- Problem: Repair burst water line.
- Found: Freeze break in 1/2" copper line to front hose bib in garage.
- Fixed: I cut out freeze break in line and replaced wirh new section of pipe. I turned on valve to the hose bib and checked for leaks and function. Turned off valve to hose bib after testing, opened hose bib' removed hose from bib, and opened bleeder cap. I reset the bleeder cap.
- Outcome: Tested and working properly.
Kitchen Remodel Project - Denver
- Problem: Kitchen plumbing remodel project.
- Found: Broken kitchen pipe.
- Fixed: Notched out wood and foam insulation to accommodate pipe to ice maker box. Added tee to cold water. Installed ice maker box and ran cold water line to ice maker box in pex. Cut out dishwasher stand pipe and capped ABS line.
- Outcome: Tested and working properly
Leak at property - Denver
- Problem: Mystery leak causing property damage.
- Found: Found the water closet was not installed properly and the flange was not fasten to the Water Closet. The water round the plywood subflooring was soak and dripping
- Fixed: We dried out the area and reset the water closets with new bolt kits and waxes.
